FAMILY HISTORY

          (e) Charles Stent (1821-    ) arrived in New Zealand at the age of 21 on the 'Lord William Bentinck'. His occupation was said to be that of Farm Labourer.

          (f) Charles Stent (1849-1931) was born on the 13th December 1849 in Lower Hutt, New Zealand. Charles married Emma Lynds nee Jackson on the 28th December 1904. Emma had previously married John Lynds on the 27th August 1872 in Picton, New Zealand. Emma Jackson was the daughter of James Hyter Jackson (1800-1877) and Eliza Roil (1826-1910). James Hyter Jackson was born in Putney, England and Eliza Roil was born in Alton, Hampshire, England.

          (g) Edward Stent (1881-1952) married on the 6th October 1908 to Eleanor Margaretta Amadio. Eleanor was born on the 24th October 1883 to parents Fortunato Antonio Amadio and Frances Caroline Phipps. Fortunato and Caroline married on the 14th May 1866 in Birmingham, England.
