(e) Herbert Stretton Ticehurst (1818-1892) was born in Lewes, Essex. Herbert was a Carpenter and in in *** 1861 Censu (see below) he is reocrded as being a Caroenter and Journeyman. He was living in the Lodge Gate House on the Estate called Compton Place. This was inhabited by the Honorablr Lady Louisa Cavendish. Her family is listed on the same page as Herbert's family for Compton Place.
